Fixed Teeth Replacement

These common treatments can change the look of your smile and improve oral health.

  • Dental Crowns: Dental crowns repair and strengthen damaged or discolored teeth. They are made of porcelain, metal alloys or ceramic which matches tooth color, giving that natural finish. Dental crowns are fitted over the existing tooth structure. This restores the tooth’s natural appearance and function. Dental crowns are placed after a root canal and could even support a dental bridge.
  • Dental Bridges: Dental Bridges are false teeth attached between two dental crowns. If you have a tooth gap, the teeth on either side must be prepped for the dental crowns. The dental bridge is cemented in place between the teeth. Dental Bridges are less permanent than dental implants but are a good choice if teeth near the gap have fillings or need dental crowns.

Dental Veneers: Thin restorations added to the front of the teeth are called dental veneers. These correct small gaps, discoloration, chips, cracks or even slightly crooked teeth. Custom-made porcelain veneers fit over teeth and composite resin dental veneers are built up in the mouth.

Dental Veneer can change the shape of your teeth and the dentist selects a color that matches your natural teeth. If alignment issues are serious, the dentist recommends orthodontic treatment.
